For pricing, you will pay Ten Oaks Ridge LLC a price per pound of hanging weight and will pay the butcher directly for cutting and wrapping. Hanging weight is the weight of the carcass after initial slaughter and processing and is roughly 60% of the animal's total weight. Here are some rough estimates on the expected hanging weights:
Quarter - 200-225 pounds
Half - 400-450 pounds
Whole - 800-900 pounds
Below are the estimated pounds of beef and freezer space requirements for each size we offer:
Quarter - roughly 80-100 pounds of beef, requiring 6 cubic feet of freezer space
Half - roughly 160-200 pounds of beef, requiring 12 cubic feet of freezer space
Whole - roughly 320-400 pounds of beef, requiring 24 cubic feet of freezer space
